This unit was a Richmond Virginia/Henrico County based militia unit, my understanding was that it was only called out several times, camped outside of Richmond, once to Norfolk and once to defend South toward Williamsburg. My 2nd great grandfather John Pool Schermerhorn (a Richmond potter), was in this unit. I'm away from my library this evening or I'd offer more detail. Regards, W.S.
