By using google.com, I found your webpage concerning the Glenn family. http://www.stanford.edu/~melbar I am a descendant of Robert Harris of colonial Louisa Co. VA (and sometimes Albemarle Co.) and his wife Mourning Glen[n]. Hence my interest in the Glen[n] family of Southside Virginia. I do a fair amount of study of colonial Lunenburg Co., VA, mostly studying Joseph Williams (an off-and-on county official of that county) and his first wife Henrietta Jouett, dau. of Matthew Jouett, formerly of Hanover Co., VA. One of my sources for Lunenburg Co. has been Landon C. Bell, THE OLD FREE. I have a partial photocopy [the bound page margins did not photocopy] of page 389 which gives a list of marriage bonds to 1850. For the marriage of a bride named Elizabeth Cousins [groom did not photocopy], the surety is one Jeremiah Glenn, date 3/13/1778. Do your searches take you into colonial Lunenburg Co.? If so, can you identify this Jeremiah Glenn? Other Glen sureties are John Glenn (4/9/1784) The bride is Alice Crymes William Glenn (5/12/1785) The bride is Rachel Moon (as stated the groom list did not photocopy). A reply, no matter how short, will be appreciated. E.W.Wallace
