Hi, My notes were a bit misleading when I said that Williams left part of his patented land (Lunenburg Co) to his daughter, Anne Johnson in 1755. I went back and found the Johnsons in the Lunenburg Co. Deed index, and this was a deed of gift. Grantor: William Williams Grantees: Anne Johnson & Heirs This was Deed Book 4, page 57. I have found more today: Besides the daughter Anne, sons Matthew Williams and Lazr Williams also received part of his land. Witnesses to the transaction: James Mackdaniell, John (Moutray?), Richard Williams. Although this deed was in Lunenburg Co. records, it says William Williams "of Brunswick Co." Dated 1 April 1755. Recorded the same day. In the Lunenburg Co. Court Order Book 3, page 188: Sept. 1754. Matthew Williams added to list of Tithables. Lazerus Williams added to list of Tithables. William Johnson added to list of Tithables. All of these men were added the same day. William Johnson caught my eye, since I was wondering about Anne Johnson. Can anyone figure this out? Sue
