Being from Texas where the towns are not separate from the county they sit in the middle of, I am a bit curious about the Virginia designation of CH, as in Dinwiddie CH. I understand that CH refers to the courthouse, but I have someone who was born at Dinwiddie CH. Now I am pretty sure he wasn't born AT the courthouse, so does this mean he was born in the little town itself, that maybe his mother lived in this town when he was born?
