Yesterday in company with some Corns from Missouri we visited a burial site in Patrick County just north of Russell Creek and off Road 685 (a very short road off Road #825 and Road #654. The man who showed us the site across from his home has lived there 31 years and in that time has never seen anyone looking for or at any of the graves. Only one or two headstone was still erect, and many of those fallen are broken with more with either no inscription or illegible. We could only read four and include in this was an inscribed headstone for-- "Richard Corn - March 16, 1829 died March 27, 1891 Age 62 yrs 11 mos." Can anyone tell me about Richard Corn other than he married Naomi Ingram of Franklin County and they lived in the Russell Creek area, leaving many descendants? - [p. 319 History of Patrick County, Virginia]. Or does anyone know any information about this abandoned burial site? Larry
