My records show a William Lynch who was b 1751 and died Dec 1821 in South Carolina. This Wm Lynch supposedly married a Mary____. In 1814 this (or another William Lynch) applied for a SC Pension. In his application he stated that at age 25 he had enrolled in the Corps of Militia Volunteers to help fight the Cherokee Indians. He was wounded in a skrimish on July 3, 1776 and lost the sight in his right eye. His pension was approved and wife Mary received a widow's pension. This William Lynch is recorded in SC land records in Enoree, SC. He had the following children: Charlotte, Malachi, Mary Lynch who m a Pace, John Lynch b 1775, Clarissa Lynch, and daughter Elvey Lynch who married my ancestor Thomas Couch (probably in Orange County, NC or Spartanburg County, SC. This information came mostly from two relatives on the internet. Should they be the same I would very much like to learn more. Robert H. Couch ---------- >From: "Fred K.
