    1. [VA-SOUTHSIDE-L] George LAWSON
    2. I really need some help from someone out there that has George LAWSONSr., their line or may be able to help. George was born bef 1725, abt 1731, abt 1735 or abt 1737. Born in King William Co., Va, Charlotte Co., VA or London, England He married Jane or Jean (may have been Buckley) in Charlotte Co., VA or Princess Anne Co., VA in 1754 or bef 1755 Jane or Jean Born abt 1734 King William Co., VA bef 1739 If George was ship Captain and born in London I still have a problem with his birth date? I found the ships passenger list of the Mary Galley and that he was the Captain and appeared before the court and was qualified endorsed and took the oath to the governor. If he was born in 1725 he would have been only 23 as a ship Captain which seems unlikely to me. I can find no patents or award of land and he seems to disappear between landing in Philidelphia on 7 September 1748 and 1755 in Charlotte Co., VA in 1755. The 1769 Lunenberg Tithe list , list a Geo Lawson with one tithe. His had ten children as listed below: Nathan b. 1755 John 1759 Martha abt 1760 James March 11, 1760 George Jr abt 1765 Zacariah abt 1766 Benjamin bef 1768 Josuah abt 1768 Sarah abt 1770 Elizabeth abt 1772 I would really appreciate any help any of you may provide and I’m really looking for some documentation. I am his fifth great grandson.
