JAMES PARISH, GOOCHLAND CO., AND PETER BRUCE OF SAME, FOR L 5, 130 ACRES IN SAME PARISH, ON SOUTH SIDE OF JAMES RIVER BOUNDED BY SOUTH SIDE OF JONES CREEK, GIVODAN'S LINE, ANTOINE RAPINE, STEPHEN MONFOND AND THOMAS TURPIN, WITNESS. RECORDED JUNE 18 1728 ANNE, WIF EOF MATHEW AGEE , RELINQUISHED HER DOWER RIGHT. ******************************************************************** At least there was 'someone' with the surname, Givodan who owned land in 1728 in Goochland County. Back up about 20 years from your Thomas Givodan's marriage and you have 1774 as a possible year for Thomas' birth. Above deed with that Givodan owning land, and that Givodan could be your Thomas's father(around 50 years old) or even Thomas's grandfather, (around 70 years old).
