    3. Yes! Wards Creek is named for Richard Ward who patented land in 1746 Brunswick Co. then.1748 into Lunenburg Co. in 1753 Land is in Amelia Co. The problem I am having is these early counties changed lines ever year.So one would register there deeds in that County and next year be in a different Tithable Tax list:: Example is Richard Ward comes back into Lunenburg CO. in 175?? and a few others that lived on the South side of Wards Creek, but not all of them.Looks like they moved back in but they Didn't they just switched counties (LOL) still living on Wards Creek the whole time. Paschall Greenhill is on the deeds by the Richard Wards I don't have my info with me right now>>>Another Greenhill on the Titahable list of Henry County is Beside WIlliam Johnson in 1782 THe Ward Family and My Hatcher family are so intermarried to cousins::: Elam,Farmers,Trent,Burton Stovall,Osbourne,Goode,Allen,Robertson you cann't tell which one is where (LOL) same naming patterns. Back to Sandy Creek I have it in 5 countieis in a 10 year period, makes by head spin on that One.(LOL) Chestnut Creek in 1787 or 89 is in Henry Co. Va. per deeds found there. If Greenhill is one of your Surnames I do have a few questions on them??? Also Brunswick and Lunenburg are the First Two Counties formed:: All the other Counties Mentioned are Children of these Two. Again it gives you the imprssion folks moved, when in reality they didn't the County Lines Changed on them. What is interesting is a 1738 map of Brunswick CO. and then lay it over the Same size 1776 Map>>> Get some real different County Formations then what one reads about. James Greenhill married one Susanna Haile b. abt 1720::: Sarah Haile is one of My Kinsman ( Cousin Lines) I haven't explored this ( until now) The hailes are intermarried into my Hatchers.
