Noted with interest your listing of creeks in Lunenburg County, VA. Just west of Lunenburg, VA is Couches creek where I believe my ancestor settled on land he received through letters of patents about 1720. Couches creek may have earlier been called Pine Lick Branch. In feed into the north fork of the Merherin river. Does anyone know any history of Couches creek or of Thomas & Elizabeth Couch, Thomas Couch Jr, James Couch, William Couch, John Couch or Edward Couch who lived there in what is now Lunenburg County, VA from 1720 until about 1750 (earlier Prince George and Brunswick Counties, VA)?
