The following book is an excellent source for *clues* to early Virginia marriages.... Wilkerson, Eva Eubank, Index to marriages of old Rappahannock and Essex Counties, Virginia, 1655-1900. (Richmond, Whittet & Shepperson, 1953) Note, however, it is stated in the Preface the marriages found within this book are implied by court records the author abstracted. Charlotte Tucker
