The LVA site has some digital records in a card system. I know the Confederate soldiers is one. Just go to the LVA web site and click on what we have then whatever general subject you are researching. I clicked on military records and then on Confederate pension rolls veterans and widows electronic card index. The LVA site is www.lva.lib.va.us and just go from there.
