Back in the 1970s or 1980s, kepone contamination was discovered surrounding the area chemical plant. Many of the locals were surprised ONLY by the fact that it made the newspaper headlines. Some who had worked at the plant claimed that chemicals had been dumped into the water and on the ground for decades. Wonder if there's a connection to that picture caption?
