I don't usually join in the Southside posts as I would rather 'listen and learn', however I have had experience with Milk Toast. My mother made it for me many times when I was young and not feeling well. I considered it a comfort food and always liked it. I haven't had it in years because it tasted so much better when my mother made it. And by the way Paul, I had all my teeth and still do. :-) My mother was from Southern Illinois. Does anyone know if it was a regional 'treat'? I grew up in the West and can't recall anyone else having it.
