I have spoken by phone with Ms. Weynette Haun (she does not do email). As MANY of you know, she is eminently qualified to abstract the Loose Papers at Surry, and she has indicated an interest in investigating that matter with us. Such an effort would be to the greatest benefit to all of us and equally for those who come after. If some of you who are there and know the new Clerk, Dennis Hudgins, Eve, Bruce, and etc. would gain permission from the county to film those many treasures, if need be, I would undertake/attempt to locate someone - Steve and Yvonne? - who might do that photography for this effort. While many of us have spent years reading such early writings, Mrs. Haun has done thousands of hours of it and has published now 10 or more -many - fine books of such abstracts.
