Hi, I know this is NC and not VA, but they are so close I thought you'd not mind the question. Does anyone know if they had obituaries out for the years 1907 and 1936 in NC and if so, how I would find them if I have the death dates. Thanks, christy
Christy: According to the Ancestry's Redbook there was newspapers in North Carolina as early as 1751. For those old newspapers that have survived from that state you might check with the NC State Archives. They have the most extensive collection on film. You might also check with a Library in the county where the death/burial took place.
