    1. [VA-SOUTHSIDE-L] BENJAMIN HALL
    2. M. Flinn
    3. Good Morning Grace, I can not help you with the Benjamin Hall of 1748 but am interested in the HALL family. My husband is descendant of a William H. Hall 1721 - 1783. William's birth was recorded in Bristol Parish and he was in Amelia County when he died. He did not have a brother Benjamin that we know of. Do you have the parents of Benjamin? We would be interested in any information you can share. Good luck with your research. Keep in touch Mildred > I seek information about Benjamin Hall who was listed in the 1748 and 1753 tax lists in > Amelia County, Saylor's Creek (Sailor's). Saylors Creek is in the northern part of Amelia > County. On those same tax lists, same location was a William Hall, about whom I would like > some information, also. Anyone having a map of that location that showed land ownership in > the 1740-1760 year range, please let me hear about it. Thanks, Grace Hall Upshaw

    1. [VA-SOUTHSIDE-L] Grassy Creek Extends Into North Carolina
    2. In the recent postings, there was mention of Grassy Creek. It extends into Granville Co., North Carolina, and in some instances, you will find some Southside families owning or residing in North Carolina. Be sure to check all the surrounding counties, no matter where the present state line is. E.W.Wallace

I know this is not about land ownership, but wanted you to know that I found William W. but not Benjamin. If I can help, please let me know. Margaret Driskill [email protected]

    3. As you already know, the Flatt Cr. of early Brunswick Co., VA was located in Lunenburg Co. when it was formed from Brunswick in 1746 and is presently located in Mecklenburg Co. formed in 1765 from Lunenburg Co. The Flatt Cr. of Amelia Co., VA is still located there and would not be the same as a Flatt Cr. in Bedford Co. which was formed in 1753 from Lunenburg and Albemarle Counties. Is your Poole family strictly that or do they have a connection to the Pettypool families found in the same records? I've noticed several of the Pettypools are listed as Poole in the land Entry Record Book.
