While filing some material resulting from a move recently, I ran across some data pertaining to 3 generations of Fitzhughs - Henry (1614 - 1664), Colonel William (1651 - 1701), Captain Henry (1687 - 1758). According to this source, Colonel William married Sarah Tucker (1663 - ) in 1674. Now, this would have meant that she would have been 11 yrs old. Is anybody familiar with this Fitzhugh line? I found these data in The Virginia Magazine, Vol 75, 1967, p. 168 'Catalogue of Signed Fitzhugh Portraits'. A footnote indicates that much of the biographical information offered in this catalogue was obtained from the files of the late J. Hall Pleasants, which are in the Maryland Historical Society. Further assistance came from George H.S. King (no relative of mine) and his publications. Additional note of interest: Henry (1614-1664) married Mary King - again, as far as I know, not related to an ancestor of mine. Donald King
