    3. Boy, Going through neglected collections is like meeting old friends you never met. Today I found a huge volume of typed transcripts of various family bibles collected over the years. Some of these are cataloged in our "INFORMATION" vertical files, some are not. We have copies of many, but not all. --------------------------------- I loved this entry in the typed binder: "Ball Family Bible Records" "FOUND IN THE BASEMENT OF ALBERT O. SMITH HOME IN CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, MAY 1978" Seem to being with one James T. Ball born 20 July 1810 in Fauquier County, Virginia. Oy, vey. Makes you wonder what else is floating around out there. Just last week, patron Mike Lyman presented a Brown Family bible he had just picked up at flea market. This family from Rainsville, Northumberland County. Cost him $25 to outbid some old biddy who just wanted to have it only because she knew he wanted to have it. He won, and we have it now. Do think about these sorts of things as you go about your research. Gotta love it. Will be processing these as time goes along on our NN list at ancestry.com. i am actually very moved by the diligence with volunteer predecessors when to the lengths they did find all this stuff. It is quite literally all across the USA. Absolutely amazing. Craig Kilby

    3. Craig,Great news! I'm so glad to know that you (and many others) are working tirelessly to piece together our ancestry. Do I understand correctly that the the bible records of James T. Ball (and other members of the Ball family) can someday be found on the NN ancestry.com site? Can I help transcribe or something? Brian
