Brian, Jude Dugan, with whom she thinks you have corresponded with her in the past, wrote to me off line saying that the "prevailing wisdom" on the many ancestry trees has this James T. Ball connected to Edward-1 Ball, immigrant to Middlesex County. As you know, that is one of the many and unconnected Ball families in early Virginia. >From the bible, James T. Ball was born in Fauquier County on 20 July 1810, and died 16 Jan 1864. The place of birth was added later, in pencil (according to the transcript). His wife Mary P. Ball was born 29 May 1816, also in Fauquier County (and written pencil). There are no marriages in the bible, but Jude reports that the various trees say the wife was Mary P. Smith. She as born in Fauquier Co., VA [in pencil] on 29 May 1816, and died in Lewis County, Missouri on 5 Oct 1895, near LaGrange. Lewis County is in Northeast Missouri, that region known as "Little Dixie." Is this your guy? No marriages are recorded. Births of their children are given: (not in chronological order if the transcript is correct) Weller T.
