Jim, my notes on this couple (William Strother m. Margaret Thornton, daughter of Francis Thornton) say: William Strother married his first cousin, Margaret Thornton. Their mothers, Dorothy Savage Strother and Alice Savage Thornton, being sisters and daughters of Captain Anthony Savage and his wife, Alice Stafford. My source for this information is NOT primary.....it is an internet source...so not absolutely reliable.....interesting nonetheless. I keep notes on the Strother family because this couple's gr-granddaughter, Susannah Strother married Moses Hawkins. Moses Hawkins was killed at the battle of Germantown in the Revolutionary War. Descendents of Moses Hawkins are DNA matches for my father. marsha moses On Jan 19, 2013, at 8:44 PM, "Jim Burgess" <jimburgess@virginiasurnames.com> wrote: > King George County, Virginia Will Book A-1 1721-1752 William Strother Will 7 > Apr 1726 <javascript:;> > > King George County, Virginia Will Book A-1 1721-1752 William Strother Will 7 > Apr 1726More > > Notes > > King George County, Virginia Will Book A-1 1721-1752 William Strother Will 7 > Apr 1726 page 40-41 In the Name of God Amen.
