David, This subject is of great interest to me as I have started (and stopped, and started and stopped) several times tracing the Ball family. No wonder no one can accurately trace any of these ancestors back across the pond! Through these recent exchanges I've learned one thing: many have gone before me and hit a brick wall. It's been very interesting and a great learning experience for me. You see something that makes sense only to have someone else debunk it with fact. It's been educational as well to have the references to the books and articles that i otherwise may have overlooked so that I can see for myself what has been done and what to believe. I guess I don't see the harm in discussing this information even if it is considered old news. Some people may not see it that way. > > Anyway, I must move on to other things so will not be commenting further on this subject. > > From: Craig Kilby <persisto1@gmail.com> > To: DAVID BROWN <dbrown544@prodigy.net>; va-northern-neck@rootsweb.com > Sent: Thursday, November 1, 2012 5:58 PM > Subject: Re: [VA-NORTHERN-NECK] Richard Ball, possible father of Wm the Immigrannt
