    3. Thanks for the post, David, This conference was for Project Admins and covered the full breadth of DNA testing. And the discussions among participants were non stop from Friday afternoon thru Sunday night. I got to be a part of the presentations on Family Finder, as several of us shared the various ways we use this tool. I provided handouts in 4 areas: 1. 3 phases of using atDNA, spanning several years (from first steps to contacting all matches to mapping) 2. Downloading atDNA data into spreadsheets 3. My spreadsheet format 4. Segment rules. If anyone wants to send me an off-line email (easier for me), I'll send any/all of these one-page documents. Well, I didn't get much help in managing a geographic project, so I will continue to develop this process. We did have an excellent presentation from "The Legal Genealogist" on ethics and privacy, so I will be working on communication tools among the Family Finder participants (who already have access to this info), along with formats to post our NN Common Ancestors here and in the NN Tree. Participation in DNA testing through Family Finder is growing rapidly (I am now getting over 10 new matches each month). This sale is a good opportunity to get involved. DNA test kits make great holiday gifts - there is a lot of excitement over several months, and often the rest of the family is interested and gets involved. And new info comes in monthly, forever. Jim - Sent from my iPhone - FaceTime! 3. Jim, thanks for the "live update." Of the many kits offered "on sale" that David sent, for purposes of our atDNA project, which one are you recommending? I think it is the "family finder" kit but please elaborate on it. (I know it is none of the Y-DNA or mtDNA kits but that still leaves some others on the list.)
