Craig, Thank you. I have yet to see the NN tree on ancestry. I tried way back to access and it was over my head. I'll try again. There is a Hudson line that I'm working that concerns below Thomas Hudson whose father Henry Hudson married widow Elizabeth nee Chinn of John Trussell. Below Thomas Hudson died 1750 CC MD. He was with Francis Adams and Robert Maconchie on 1736 CC MD estate of John Smallwood, grandson of Col. William Smallwood. Francis Adams' son Josias Adams married female unk and had son "RHODAM ADAMS". Josias Adams married 2nd Anne Jenifer 30 JUL 1748 in Charles County, Maryland and they had children that would sell land to General George Washington in 1776 CC MD. [See very last.] I am wondering if below HENRY HUDSON could somehow be related to JOSHUA HUDSON m. ELIZABETH RUST? Can you determine if there is any lead from below witness names? Thank you, Amanda ========================================================== Anthony Linton reference below may have been the man who died 6 NOV 1689 in Northumberland County, Virginia - Probate. Amanda whatever its worth here is the notation I have on her From Adventurers of Purse and Person: '... resided in Northumberland County "leaving divers children and his relict." On 16 Jan 1694/5 "Henry Hudson and Elizabeth his wife, late Elizabeth Trussell, widow of the said deceased," were ordered to return an inventory of John Trussell's estate.' Ref.: Dillon, Ruth, The Chinn Book, page 2-3 Northumberland Co., VA, Court - January 16, 1694. John (2) Trussell, d. intestate leaving children and widow, Elizabeth, who has since m. Henry Hudson. She came to Court and exhibited an inventory. Children - in Court September 19, 1706 - William (3) Trussell chose Henry Hudson as guardian. Ref.: Will of John Chynn, Sr., Dec. 15, 1691 Mentions son John Trussell and daughter Elizabeth Trussell. ------------------------------ ## ------------------------------ Ref.: Wulfeck, Dorothy Ford, "Marriages of some Virgina Residents 1607-1800", Vol. 1 (a-h), pg. 70, CHINN, Elizabeth m. John Trussell pg. 345, HUTSON, Henry m. bef. 1693, Elizabeth (_____) Trussell, widow of John 4V76. Also for whatever its worth as far as I show currently, Elizabeth Chinn/Trussell had brother John T. Chinn b. abt. 1660 no further information on him although he is mentioned in his father's will probated 1692. She also had sister Sarah Chilton by John Chinn's wife Elizabeth Travers. By his wife Alice "Gilbert" (formerly assumed Smoot) (not positively proven yet as Gilbert but much evidence supports this name) There was Ann, Rawleigh, Alice, William, Catherine, Joseph and Thomas Chinn. So YES she had brothers John and Rawleigh. It was this Rawleigh who was married to Easter Ball. They are all named in his will of which Abstracts you showed. I think you should, even it if it is just "view only." There are 50 editors who spend a lot of time making this information available for free. Well, some more than others, but why anyone would not take advantage of it is beyond me. It is not that difficult to use in view only mode. Just type a name in the search box and see if it is in there. If it is, hover your mouse over the highlighted name in the chart and click "view profile" and VOILA! toy are in the tree! > There is a Hudson line that I'm working that concerns below Thomas Hudson > whose father Henry Hudson married widow Elizabeth nee Chinn of John > Trussell. > > Below Thomas Hudson died 1750 CC MD. > He was with Francis Adams and Robert Maconchie on 1736 CC MD estate of John > Smallwood <snip> I won't get into the Chinn line. Others may have more information. To my knowledge, the two Hudson families are NOT related. There are no Henry Hudson's in the Joshua Hudson line. I suspect Joshua-1 Hudson came from Maryland. His wife and her family certainly did. Sort of like rowing across the Potomac in the dead of night when things got a bit too hot. Incidentally, this group of families were primarily Quakers. > > I am wondering if below HENRY HUDSON could somehow be related to JOSHUA > HUDSON m. ELIZABETH RUST? Don't which Joshua you mean, but he is almost certainly of the Joshua-1 Hudson group in Westmoreland, but they were seated much further north than the Rusts. > Can you determine if there is any lead from below witness names?
