Hi all, The Kirk family is not one on which I have done any work in the Colonial period (or otherwise, for that matter.) Perhaps some of you here have. (Not many on our NN tree, to my surprise.) I ran into "one" of them today while looking at the estate of Thomas O'Harrow who died in Lancaster County in 1764. On April 14th of that year, the Winifred O'Harrow, widow and relict of Thomas O'Harrow, was granted administration on his estate. She did not post any bond. When the estate was appraised and divided on 10 Jun 1764, her dower's third was given to "the widow KIRK." The rest was awarded to "ten children each." (Not named, naturally!) One of these ten children is surely the Thomas HARROW (aka O'HARROW) of Middlesex County, and who at least seven children whose births are recorded in both Christ Church Parish, Middlesex County and Abingdon Parish, Gloucester County. FOR NOW, I'd be thrilled to name of Winifred's 2nd husband, ----- KIRK. Anyone know? Craig
