Jim, If we are related through the Kilbys, I will be thrilled to learn how. I changed your data on Mary Kilbey [Kilby] Lawson Harwood. You had her death date as the date he will was proved in Lancaster County. A common error, and one we we should be on the look-out for as we clean up this tree. I look forward to learning more about the MANY Lawsons that you have added. However, I have never, ever, ever found a connection between my John Kilby who first shows up in (now) Culpeper County and this Kilby famiy of Middlesex, despite the associations with the Towles family afterwards. My current thinking is that John-1 Kilby was was a brother of Thomas-1 Kilby of Dorchester County, Maryland. As for "your" Christopher Kilby here, I have also hunted this clan down all over New England. Many of that name there, but not this one. I think he came directly from England. The Kilby Y-DNA study has proved there are two very different Kilby lines. Yours seems to stem from Scandinavia. Those from plain old John are "Northern European" haplogroup. Yawn. The Middlesex County Kilby line appears to have "daughtered out" from my research.
