    3. Craig If I understand the Huguenot group correctly shouldn't it be either French Protestant or Huguenot as I believe the two phrases mean the same? On Fri, Oct 7, 2011 at 10:01 AM, Craig Kilby <[email protected]> wrote: > French Huguenot -- Douglas Burnett Satellite Beach FL

    3. Doug, Yes. French Huguenots were French Protestants. They were French, and Protestant and known as Huguenots. Commonly called French Huguenots but as you suggest, that phrase is indeed redundant. Still, that is the normal term used for this group. A good discussion on these persecuted people is at the National Huguenot Society web site at http://huguenot.netnation.com/general/huguenot.htm Craig On Oct 7, 2011, at 4:14 PM, James Burnett wrote: > Craig > If I understand the Huguenot group correctly shouldn't it be either French > Protestant or Huguenot as I believe the two phrases mean the same? > > On Fri, Oct 7, 2011 at 10:01 AM, Craig Kilby <[email protected]> wrote: > >> French Huguenot > > > > > -- > Douglas Burnett > Satellite Beach > FL > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
