There are some extremely knowledgable people on there with vastly different areas of expertise. It is managed (and created by) Larry Boswell of Toronto, Canada. It is relatively new and was created primarily as a more open-minded, free-thought list serve than the APG (Association of Professional Genealogists) list, which is moderated to the point that just saying "good morning" might land you in the "banned" column. There is no thought control on the theorygen list, and it would take quite a hugely insulting, way off base, out of the ballpark post to get you tossed off. I hope to see some of you there soon.
