    1. [VA-NORTHERN-NECK] News from MBW, Ancestry.com

    3. All, A few things here, actually. Due to the generosity of Mr. Page Henley of Weems, the MBW library is now carrying the full ancestry.com package, which is international. Carolyn Jett (and he) have been having a field day with it and been able to find several people's NN ancestry in England. I have not worked with it yet. Also, by the same token, Steve Walker, President of the NN Historical Society, has purchased a year's subscribtion to the full edition of ancestry.com for use at the research library in Montross (Westmoreland County). Also there, the full set of every book the Sparacios ever published for the counties of Northumberland, Lancaster, Richmond, Westmoreland, King George and Stafford Counties (their service are) have been recently purchased and I am in the process of cataloging them on the NNVHS librarything.com site of ours. These, and many more counties, are already housed at the Mary Ball Washington Museum & Library. I've been a busy boy getting the Montross HQ (NNVHS) up to speed. This is important considering the two facilities are about an hour apart. I last wrote about the newest Restaurant and B&B in Montross, the Inn at Montross. I would to also let you know of a somewhat similar establishment in Lancaster, called the Lancaster Tavern. Built in 1790, t is adjacent to the Mary Ball library. In addition to its full service restaurant, it has two guest suites upstairs, and a guest cottage next door with two bedrooms kitchen and living room. The proprietor is Brenda Jackson. You can visit them at: http://www.lancastertavern.com/ [Above link is safe to click] Hoping to see ya'll soon! Craig Kilby
