I have many BERRY's with various locations. I have a William H. Berry family out of Massachusetts married Elizabeth NAYLOR. One of their sons m. CREBS which descends from my WILSON/CHINN line originating in the Northern Neck but ending up in White Co. IL. Also associated with the WILSON/CHINN line is Philander Berry of Kentucky whose father was Benjamin b. 1756 of Ashbys Gap Frederick Co. Va. M. Sarah Matthews. Notes on Benjamin Referring to "Union County Past and Present" compiled by the WPA in 1941: Benjamin Berry, a school teacher and farmer of Frederick Co. VA (Ahsby's Gap) and a Private in the Revolutionary War. came to Union Co KY with his wife, Sarah, in 1800 Some years later he returned to VA and died there in 1814. His wife came back to Union Co in 1819 or 1820 and died there in 1823. Their son, Martin Matthews Berry, was born near Uniontown in1805. He married Rachel Ferris Anderson in 1826. Many children of the above unions. THEN getting away from Virginia I have an Ora G. (Dutch) Berry who m. Minnie Carpenter b. abt. 1885 in Jefferson Co. IL and while looking at them found this census information, not sure if it ties in or not.
