My search on Berry is with Enoch Doughty who married Drubella Bunbury and their daughter Margaret married William Berry. Enoch was originally from Tauton MA, the son of Francis Doughty and Ann Graves. William Berry and Margaret have several children, one named Joseph who married Catherine Simcock. Their child Sarah married John Prince, and child Sarah Prince married William Hannon. This Hannon family was part of Indian massacre and the children reared by John Earle m to Thomasine Prince. John Prince father of Thomasine was married to Sarah Berry child of Joseph Berry and Catherine Simcock. Joseph Berry also has child Frances Berry who married married Thomas Dobyns whose gggrandaughter Emily Dobyns b 1832 married Robert Pollard Butler of Franklin MS, son of an Aaron Butler who had married Mary Day or Dew and who died in Amite MS. As far as the John Berry of 1705, it appears he had a son John Berry b 1727 in North or South Carolina and daughter Celia b 1767 who married Jacob Fortenberry or Faulkenbury, son of John Faulkenbury and Hannah Eubanks. There ggranddaughter married Hugh Butler the son of James Henry Butler who died in SC. This James Henry Butler has connections to Obadiah Hooper of Lunenberg, Va who was married to Millicent Brooks. The connection is somewhat hard to understand but the will can be found at SC Archives. There are also connections of a James Doughty of Maine who married Elizabeth Butler, the child of Moses Butler b 1702 and Mercy Wentworth. This family has connections to a Chief Donohoo and Mary Wentworth. Family then has connections to names of Graves and Poindexter. My search for the family of a Fannie Poindexter who married a Butler, not the William that the DAR has listed as that William, although of same DNA is the William Butler who married Charity Garrett and died in the massacre of Butler Alabama. At this point all information on this family is suspect, however it is believed her husband is buried in Wilkes Co., Ga dying in 1892. It is her son Aaron Butler who married Mary Day mentioned above.
