Craig, I'm lost in all this. Can I just ask one question. Is there a Northern Neck Families website that has been set up something like what Mike Marshall did for his site called "1658-1758 Charles County MD Families "The first 100 years" " and it's set up at Rootsweb under Ancestry? You can see what Mike posts but you cannot change any of it. He has to make additions or corrections, etc. So sorry but I don't want to miss out on something that sounds so great. Is this just for people who do face book to access? Amanda
Amanda, You are not the only one who seems to be confused. The site is on ancestry.com It is a public list and Jim Bartlett will be sending out an URL to it. I don't think you have to be a member to view it. Some people will be editors. It has nothing to do with facebook. It is called Northern Neck of Virginia Families and if you already have an ancestry.com you should be able to find it somewhere--shared trees I would guess. Hope this helps, Craig On Sep 28, 2011, at 1:43 PM, Amanda Douglass wrote: > Craig, > > I'm lost in all this. Can I just ask one question. We are not going to follow "The Marshall Plan." That is a static site whereby people can post information but nothing gets changed unless he does it. This site on ancestry.com is a joint effort with several editors, of which all on this list were invited yesterday if you simply send an e-mail to Jim Bartlett per yesterdays post. If you are NOT comfortable with making changes due to lack of specific sources, then ask to be signed up as a contributor or "read only" member. The latter category may be moot as it is set up as a public list in "view only" format already. Craig On Sep 28, 2011, at 1:43 PM, Amanda Douglass wrote: > Craig, > > I'm lost in all this.
