    1. [VA-NORTHERN-NECK] CATLETT and CLARK - Lancaster Co.
    2. Pam Mullinax
    3. Since FOX was on the last several digest entries, The Lancaster County Tithable List for the year 1700 for White Chappel Parish have the following: Capt. William FOX (9) Mr. Samuel FOX (5) Capt. David FOX (20) While that may be common knowledge to those who research FOX, there are three others on this same list about whom I have extreme interest. 1. Thomas CATTLETT (3) - the common spelling is CATLETT 2. Mrs. Frances HARRISON (5) - the widow of Joseph, whom she married 11 NOV 1692 at Christchurch, Middlesex Co., VA. She was born abt. 1681 to Thomas HASLEWOOD and Mary COLE, dau. Of Francis and Alice COLE. 3. John REEVES (3) Mrs. Frances HARRISON mar. Thomas CATLETT between 23 Dec 1699 and 14 May 1700 in Lancaster Co. By 3 Apr 1711, the mother of Frances CATLETT, Frances HASLEWOOD, widow, wrote her will and named daughter, Frances; grandsons Thomas and William CATLETT. She also named son, Thomas HASLEWOOD, daughter Jane JONES and grandson Humphrey JONES. *1713, Frances CATLETT was appointed administrator of husband, Thomas CATLETT's estate. *1731 (14 Jul), Lancaster Co. - lawsuit of William CATLETT and Sarah, his wife, vs. James REVES, executor of the estate of John REVES, and Catlett was granted a continuance. *1731 (13 Oct), Lancaster Co. - lawsuit of William Catlett and Sarah, his wife (daughter of Arthur Clark and granddaughter of William Clark), vs. James Reves, executor of the estate of John Reves, for her share in the estate of John Reves; committee appointed settle and report at next session: Robert Mitchell, Henry Carter, and Joseph Carter, Gent. NOTE: an Arthur CLARK was on the list of tithables (1) for St. Mary's White Chapel Parish in Lancaster Co. in 1716. In 1718 (2 Apr) he made a will in Lancaster mentioning daughter, Sarah; brother, William REEVES; "father-in-law" (prob. Step-father), Jno REEVES and mother (unnamed); there is apparently no wife mentioned; executors are John and William REEVES. In 1718 (2 Apr) in Accomack Co., owned property here which was left to brother William REEVES, in his will bearing this date. *1731 (11 Nov), Lancaster Co. - lawsuit of William Catlett and Sarah, his wife, vs. James Reves, executor of the estate of John Reves; ordered audit was not performed and order renewed *1731 (8 Dec), Lancaster Co. - lawsuit of William Catlett and Sarah, his wife, vs. James Reves, executor of the estate of John Reves; plaintiffs (Catletts) awarded 2 pounds, 9 pence current money. I am searching for the father of this specific Thomas CATLETT and whether he is (and how) a direct descendant of the John CATLETT, b. 12 Jan 1621/22 in Sittingbourne Parish, County Kent, England and who died between 18 Apr and 31 Dec 1670 at Port Royal, Caroline Co., VA. I am also searching for what happened to the William and Thomas, sons of the Thomas CATLETT mar. to Frances; William's wife, Sarah, daughter of Arthur CLARK and granddaughter of William CLARK. What was John REEVES relationship to Sarah...step-father to her father; thus step-grandfather? Pam Catlett Mullinax P.S. There is no need to repeat "all" of this in any response.
