I know for me especially..... with Adult ADD, I get totally lost in too much information. However there have been occasions where I have had to draft a somewhat wordy request for info on someone in particular because of the (1) common name he has, and (2) to show WHY I think he is the person he is. I have this carefully worded letter saved for when ever I need it. A lot of people have asked me time and time again.... questions about him..... or have given me tons of info I already have..... I hate for people to go to all the trouble to look up stuff I already have so I try to be explicit but not too overwhelming. Often times I will ask a very specific question and preface it by saying "I already have tons on this family but just need to know........ xyz" But I agree, complete family trees of 8 generations are TMI. Thanks for the reminders. You could actually do like a "thought for the day" type column. "the reminder for the day is"......... lol Just don't put it at the bottom where the unsubscribing info is because no one reads that either.
