I am looking for information about Middleton Shaw in connection with an ancestor of mine Thomas Shaw (free African American & founght in the Rev. War soldier as a substitute). I found Middleton Shaw on two Northern Neck land grants in 1728 and 1731 in Stafford county near the Tuscarora Branch and he appears on other grants in that time period as an adjoining property owner. But I have not found a will or other deeds yet. If someone out there has any information on him, I would be grateful.
