Robert Vaulx married before July, 1711, Elizabeth, dau. of Rodham Kenner, and wid. of Richard Bushrod. He d. in 1712, leaving three children. . . . His wid. md. a third time, Rev. Lawrence Debutts, and was still living in October, 1750, as shown by a deed from Anne Fauntleroy, wid., to her son, Bushrod Fauntleroy, among the records of Northumberland County. (The ancestry and marriages of Elizabeth Kenner are given in the Wm. & Mary Quarterly, Vol. 17, p. 63.)" Elizabeth (Kenner) Bushrod Vaulx Debutts was not yet 18 when her father's will was written 1706. _VA Genealogist_ says she was born 1691 and died 1754. Crozier, ed., _Westmoreland County Wills_ (Virginia County Record Publications, n.s. 1, 1913), p. 30, citing Will Book 7: "VAULX, (Capt.) ROBERT, 30 Nov. 1721; 5 Dec. 1721. Sons Robert and James; my wife and my three children (third child is not named); wife Elizabeth, Augustine Washington, and Richard Kenner exors." His mother mentions "son Robert Vaulx and his daughter Mary" in her will. Augusta Fothergill, _Wills of Westmoreland County, Virginia, 1654-1800_ (Richmond, 1925; reprinted for Clearfield Co., 1999), p. 75: "VAULX, ROBERT, CAPT., 30 Nov. 1721; 5 Dec. 1721. Land to sons Robert and James; my wife and three children (third child un-named) residue of estate; land at head of Pope's Creek; wife Elizabeth, Augustine Washington and Richard Kenner exrs." Wm & Mary Quarterly, series 1, vol. 14, no. 3 (Jan. 1906), p. 178: "[Mary Vaulx's] son was Robert^3 Vaulx (will recorded December 1721), who by Elizabeth Kenner had sons Robert^4 and James^4."
