    3. John, Our project is going to focus on Family Finder (autosomal). I know the folks that run those two projects - they have many DNA projects, primarily for surnames and focus areas that others haven't set up and agreed to be administrators. Although the participants in our project may well also have Y-DNA and/or mtDNA tests (I do), our emphasis will be on atDNA. Otherwise we would be in conflict with their project - I don't want to create an issue before we get off the ground. I'm going to have my hands full as it is, so I'd rather try this on our own for now and see what happens. We can always reevaluate later. The area included is made up of the eight original Shires (counties): Accawmack (Northampton), Charles City, Charles River (York), Elizabeth City, Henrico, James City, Warrosquyoake (Isle of Wight) and Warwick River (Warwick). Also included is Chickacoan District (Northumberland). Daughter counties are Gloucester, Lancaster, New Kent, Surry, Westmoreland, Accomack, Stafford, Middlesex, New Norfolk, Upper Norfolk, Lower Norfolk, Norfolk, Nansemond, Princess Ann, King and Queen, Essex, and Richmond. I have tried to join but so far they have not given approval. It might be interesting to attempt to couple that project with your new autosomal project. The URL is [1]http://www.familytreedna.com/public/va-1600s/ Jack McAnally Don't bother to look for it yet - I've sent an email to FTDNA, because I can log into the page, but cannot find it to join my Kit. 3. Hi Jim, I joined, I think - it's on my list of projects - but there is no website URL listed. Bill Hurst
