    3. Hi Jean My g-grandfather was George Caldwell (no middle name). He was not married as far as I know until he moved to Indiana and then in 1832 he married Lydia Williams. I found married record at Indiana Univ website. He was listed in 1850 census in Cass Co Indiana with wife Lydia and these children. Granville Samantha Martha Amanda Jasper DeHart (My Grandfather) They arrived in California in 1852(All the children except for Samantha and Martha arrived in Ca. I remember my mother telling me that one of the girls died and was buried along the Missouri River). They settled in Tulare Co. They became prominent residence of the community of Visalia (They were cattleman). I have been able to account for all of them up to their deaths. There is a blvd named for the family in the town of Visalia and also I was sent a picture were their property use to be which now has a large group of homes on it that is called "Caldwell Ranch". Hoping this will help. Thanks Again Jeanne Although we have cemetery records, we do not have a death certificate which would reveal his parents names. We also have a large section of the cemetery where many of the family are buried. George Caldwell's grave stone indicates he was born in Harrison Co WVA in 1808. I have access to all family records (I believe) after he came from Indiana, but I do not know when he moved from WVA to Cass Co. Indiana nor do I know if his mother and father moved to Indiana or if they stayed in WVA. George Marion
