My Justus Heck is the last son born to Johann Yost Heck and his first wife Marsa Ann Goff. He was born in 1799. David the father of the other Justus Heck was the son of Johann Yost Heck and his second wife Susannah Exline. As for the Kern side, I am still researching that line to see if there is any connection between the Smith family and Aaron Kern from Monongalia Co. Sherry
