It is possible the Major John Rightmire you mention and/or the Tavern keeper in Preston County may have been married to Anna Ashford daughter of William Ashford.who died in Loudoun Co Va Or if anyone else has any information on the surname Ashford that would be helpful also as it probably is a collateral line.
