Jane...There is more on the property that was Daugherty and became Elliotts at the U of Virginia on there online database. I have not been able to copy it. Mostly because I am not very proficient with computers. It is under Elliott mentions Jarvis Daugherty as being a son of William. I may have found Jarvis Daugherty later in Logan County Ohio. Can not be certain it is the same Jarvis Daugherty but I suspect it is. He married a Marmon. James and Elizabeth went on to Knox/Coshocton County Ohio although I know he is related to those in Loudoun County and they may have had at least one child in Loudoun County before moving to Ohio. I have not quite figured out if William is father or Grandfather or why Jane and Husband would end up with the property over William's son Jarvis. I have not found a will for William Daugherty which would be very helpful. It seems to me at some point I found a Susan Dougherty in either Coshocton or Knox County census. Have been looking for my info on her but have not found it. If I recall she was living with a family with another surname..Later, Alice
