I am trying to find this Isaac. >Isaac Calvert m Frances Bullock or Bullitt > Hi, David, The only CALVERT in this second volume of Earl Core's series is Enoch whom Core mentions as having settled at Dunkard Bottom in 1808. This would be in present day Preston County. Morton writes that Enoch Calvert came from Winchester, settling in 1808 on the Buckner P. Whetsell farm south of Caddell. He adds, " there is a grandson in Valley and the family of another in the Whetsell Sesttlement. Morton lists the children of Enoch and his wife, Nancy JACKSON, as: Jesse who lived in PA, George R. who lived in PA, William m. Anne JACKSON, Lydia m. Conrad WHETSELL, Mary m. Jesse HALL, and Susan who remained single. I do not find any CALVERTs in the first volume in Core's series. Samuel Wiley's History of Monongalia mentions a Dr. Calvert as a physician in the Clay District at the time of his writing which was circa 1883. Apparently the Clay District abuts Greene Co., possibly by Perry Twp. Perhaps you need to be looking in Winchester, VA for Isaac. REgards, Jane
