I'm interested in this response because it appears that at least some of these folks are SHUMAN descendants. I have a Jeremiah KENDALL m. 27 Jan 1849 in Morgantown, Monongalia Co, WV to Delilah PARKS (no father listed). He is son of James Kendall and Catherine SHUMAN. I have Thomas Jefferson FLOYD m. 2 Jun 1849 to Melissa PARKS (no father listed). He is son of John L. Floyd and Elizabeth SHUMAN. I also have several of the FLOYDs listed, including Henry Francis, Henry Troutman, James H. Michael, and William. I am not certain how all of these folks are related to each other, but at least some of them are father and sons. And I really don't know anything about the PARKS women. Some married into the family, but others are descendants of the original John SHUMAN (1764-1832) of Paw Paw District, near the present Marion/Monongalia Co line.
