    3. I checked birth records for Harrison Co. 1853-1855 from Harrison Co. Genealogy Society] Monongalia Co., birth records 1853-1876 [Marion Co. Genealogy Club] Marion Co. birth records 1853-1859 [Marion Co genealogy Club] No John or John C. Floyd listed. If he was born in Harrison Co., I know that they have a book with delayed births [births that were not reported at time of birth could have been reported several years later, I found some of my relatives in it] You might want to check that out.
