I think that would have to be proven to my satisfaction before I made changes to my genealogical Research. It has not been proven anywhere that thieves have taken information from a genealogy site and used it in fraud. It has been found that the information given in loan applications or any type of other transaction where the person is asked to give the name of a parent that fraud is committed with that information. I have been down that road twice now and both times it was information given to an institution for loan or purchase of a product. Both were resolved by the State Attorney Generals Office of fraud. If this person thinks fraud has been committed through the web site it is up to him to prove it and to furnish you with that proof not intimidate you with accusations that you are supplying information to use for fraud. All over this country Genealogy information is being closed off to researchers with this tactic of saying it is being used to commit fraud. Very shortly we will not be able to find out anything.
