Does anyone have any info on a James Shiflett born aprox 1838 possibly in Albemarle County, WV. He married in Harrison County, WV on 11-26-1869 to a Martha Lowther Reed. James & Martha Shiflett are found in the 1880 Gilmer County, WV census with children: Austen (born aprox 1872), Gay (born aprox 1875), Cora (born aprox 1878), Rosa May Reed (born 2-22-1867) & Worthington Mathew Reed (born 6-18-1868). Don't know if you will find anything about James there, but you will find a lot of us who are researching our Shiflett/Shiflet roots. Maybe you will find someone who knows about your James.
