My great-great-grandfather is William Henry Shaffer. He was born in 1858 and died in 1949 and was married to Harriet Mansfield. Their son, Sheridan was my great-grandfather. Sheridan and his wife Cynthia lived just outside of Morgantown when my grandmother was growing up and later they moved to Maryland. I am hoping to find out more about William Henry and Harriet and who their parents were and info about their families. I do not live local to Monongalia County. Does anyone know if I were to send for a death certificate of William Henry - if they would mail it to me since I am now living in Canada? Any advice or information that any would could provide would be very much appreciated.
