I can't recall the name of the library at Clarksburg, somesort of "house" or something. Anyway, upstairs is a genealogy library. There I found a book, "Charles McIntire of Colonial Virginia" compiled by June R. McIntire Taylor and Lois M. McIntire Salisbury. This is where I got my McIntire information. I made a note in my research that states this is not proven. To answer you question: The book says, "Charles(1) of Colonial Virginia was b. ca 1724, place unknown, parents not found. They suggest that his father and/or grandfather probably came from Scotland to Ireland. ----- Original Message ----- From: "nanny" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, February 22, 2001 8:31 PM Subject: McIntire > Jimmie, you have went back farthur than i have. Jimmie, The library in Clarksburg is called the Waldomore and is located right next door to the Clarksburg Harrison Public Library. Until they built the new library the Waldomore was the libarary. It is a very old mansion with lots of genealogy records besides the long forms of the Guy Tetrick Files.
