The cemetary is an old predominantly Irish cemetary from the mid 1800's that apparently hasn't been taken care of in some 50 years. Someone in the anthropology department at WVU has recieved a grant to restore the cemetary and so they are enlisting the use of students to help w/ clearing brush and finding submerged headstones and thats why I was there. While there i found a headstone that was badly deteriorated (as most there are,) but I was able to make out the name...Mrs. Rebecca Ridwell. No dates or anything else, just the name. I was wondering if it would be possible for you to check the marriage records and death certificates to find out where she was originally from (if she was an immigrant,) her maiden name, her husbands name, dates of her life, and the names of any children she may have had. I am just very curious about this person that I found. Any info. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. -Jay-
