Rosalie, Do you have an approximate time frame for John and Catherine/Kathryn (Stump) HEWITT? I did a check on the extractions I made which covers 1796-1852 and there are no HEWITT's or STUMP's. I have film of the marriage index that covers from 1853-1970, so if they are in that range I will check it for you. Do you know that there is a HEWITT cemetery in Rice's Landing, which I think is in PA. Good luck and if I can be of further help let me know. Margaret

I am trying to find information on my grandmother - Hettie (may have been spelled Hettye) Jones and grandfather - Simeon David Cobb. Have not been able to locate marriage information - married 1900 - 1907 possibly in Harrison County/Clay County/Jackson County. I know her wedding ring was purchased at the Waldo Jeweler in Clarksburg (Harrison County). They had a daughter, Mildred (date of birth unknown) who married Paul Vernon (date unknown) and lived and died in Harrison County. The Clerk's Office in Harrison County told me they have no information but I know my grandparents lived in Clarksburg a very long time and died there. Tod, I have the Monongalia marriage films here and several yrs ago did an extraction of them for my own use, this covers from 1796-1852. I have them sorted out by bride, groom and parents, on disc and now on paper. Like Betty I didn't find any Silas and/or Eleanor "Netty" Brummage, but I did find a marriage record for Isaac and Rosannah (Miller) Brummage. Here is the info just in case you don't have it. Isaac Brumage (aka as Bruner) and Rosannah Miller, daughter of Peter Miller, bond was posted 28 April 1809, married 4 May 1809, surety was by Isaac & Joseph Brummage, marriage performed by Joshua Hickman. Iris, Betty is right that there are no FREY's listed in the Monongalia marriages from 1796-1852. I have the marriage films here at home and several yrs ago did an extraction of them for my own use, have them on disc and now in printed form. I have them sorted either by bride, groom or parents names. I did a check for the surname PIXLER and found the following information. There is a James T. PIXLER who married a Hulah WEAVER, daughter of John, the bond and marriage date are the same, 9 Dec, 1847, they were married by Rev. Peter T. Laishley. Hope this helps. Margaret

Martha, This book list only Henry WILS who married Catherine Whitehair 3/22/1815. There are no WILLIS names in the index.....I don't know how complete the marriages in this book are... Is it possible they could have married in neighboring Harrison Co.? I also have a book of marriages for that county, 1785-1894...and I know the Willis name is found in Harrison County....Let me know if you want me to check my Harrison County book. Betty
